1. Question: I
get the error message "Can't register
SNV.DLL. Check if you have Administrator
rights on your computer." during
installing SNV Timer. What does it mean
please?

Answer: Administrator rights are
required to install SNV Timer as they allow
you to change your computer's configuration.
Even if you have Administrator rights,
installing software yourself on your computer
may be against your organisation's IT policy.
If you do not have Administrator rights and
need to install SNV Timer, or if you have
Administrator rights but are still unable to
install SNV Timer, please contact your IT
support staff.
2. Question:
Why do some Timer alerts start at
irregular intervals please?

Answer: The computer might have
been turned off at the trigger time. Please
open the Timer settings window by clicking
the corresponding 'Advanced' button and then
check the 'Synchronize with system clock'
checkbox.
3. Question: I'm
registered, but pop ups keep reminding me to
register. How can I to fix this please?

Answer:

| 1. |
Right-click
the SNV Timer icon on
your desktop or the SNV
Timer shortcut on the
'Start' menu, and then
click 'Properties'. |
| 2. |
Click
the 'Compatibility' tab,
check the 'Run this
program as an
administrator' checkbox,
and then click 'Ok'. |
| 3. |
Run
SNV Timer and re-enter
your user name and
registration key. |

For Windows XP users:
| 1. |
Check
if you have Administrator
rights on your computer. |
| 2. |
Run
SNV Timer and re-enter
your user name and
registration key. |
4. Question: I
have set the hourly interval of the Timer.
How would the Timer work if I were to uncheck
the 'Synchronize with system clock' checkbox
please?

Answer: For example: SNV Timer
is set to run at Windows Startup and you set
the alert trigger time to 1:00 PM. Therefore,
the next alert must start at 2:00 PM. If you
turn off your PC at 1:10 PM, and then turn on
it at 1:30 PM, the alert will start at 2:00
PM, 3:00 PM, 4:00 PM, etc. However, if you
turn on your PC at 2:10 PM, the alert will
start at 3:10 PM, 4:10 PM, 5:10 PM, etc.
Please note that if you check the 'Run missed
tasks' checkbox in the Timer settings window,
the alert will first start at Windows Startup
(i.e., in this case, at 2:10 PM), and then at
3:10 PM, 4:10 PM, 5:10 PM, etc.
5. Question: I
get the error message "... try
reinstalling the Flash plug-in ..." at
SNV Timer Startup. What should I do please?

Answer: Please download and
install SNV Timer version 2.0, or above.
6. Question: What
is the difference between a non-registered
copy and a registered copy of SNV Timer
please?

Answer: A non-registered copy of
SNV Timer is full-featured but it has limited
voice recording time. Also, the
non-registered copy periodically displays a
nag box.
7. Question: Does
SNV Timer contain "spyware"?

Answer: Absolutely not. SNV Timer does
not install any spyware on to your computer
and it does not send anyone information about
your system.
